Tonight, a veteran is cold. You can give him warmth.
Cold nights. Loneliness. The fear of having no place to call home. This is the heartbreaking reality facing too many New Hampshire veterans this Christmas season.
Give a Veteran Hope This ChristmasJean, a U.S. Army veteran, once faced it too.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Jean returned home to build a bright future working as a commercial fisherman, marrying the love of his life, and looking forward to the years ahead.
But tragedy struck when cancer claimed his wife, parents, and siblings in a short span. Grief led him to alcohol. Before long, he was living in a small tent, shivering through frigid, rainy nights.
Then Jean found Liberty House.
Here, he discovered more than a roof and a bed – he found hope. Jean worked hard to rebuild his life, stay sober, and reconnect with what mattered most: his family.
As he recently moved into his new home, we received a heartfelt card from his daughter, Megan, and granddaughter, Kinsleigh:
“To our extended family at Liberty House, I cannot begin to describe my appreciation for all your help! You all have helped my dad in ways I would have never known how. I am eternally grateful—truly! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!”
Because of you, Jean will celebrate the holidays in a safe home of his own – with a renewed sense of purpose and the hugs from his family.
But tonight, another veteran will be outside in the cold, wondering if anyone cares.
You can change that.
Give Veterans Hope This ChristmasYour year-end gift brings warmth, safety, and a path forward to veterans who have sacrificed so much for us. It can be the spark that helps them rebuild their lives.
You make sure no veteran is left behind – not during the holidays, not ever.
