Kevin’s dream of serving his country came true when he enlisted in the Army, serving in Operation Desert Storm.
Like many veterans, Kevin’s return to civilian life was challenging. Bouts of depression led to addiction, and by 51, he was homeless and living on the streets of Manchester. As he shares, “My life hit the lowest of lows – and I had nowhere to go.”
But everything changed when he found Liberty House.
With support from donors and our dedicated staff, he’s already achieving goals he never thought possible:
- He got his driver’s license back.
- He’s set his finances straight and is beginning to save money.
- He bought a car of his own so he can get himself to work.
And for the first time in years, Kevin shared a Thanksgiving meal with his two sons and daughter – a moment he once thought he’d never have again.
Goal after goal, win after win. Liberty House is changing Kevin’s life forever.
“Thanks to donors, Liberty House has allowed me to regain my life and finally look forward to a bright future. I feel like I’ve gone from zero to hero.”
Kevin’s journey isn’t over yet. The next big step in his comeback is to pursue his ultimate goal: finding stable housing. Your gift to Liberty House today can help him get there, while empowering other veterans like him to rebuild their lives too.
